For many of us, clip in hair extensions sound like a novel thing, a new innovation of the modern world. The fact, however, is the practice of wearing fake hair has been around since the days of Ancient Egypt.
In this century, the fashionability of hair extensions has risen and ebbed from time to time. In the 1940s, when long hair became the "it" thing to have, the demand for extensions increased even though artificial hair in those days was easily damaged and extensions for real hair were more expensive than they are nowadays.
As the technology for making artificial hair has improved - and as more celebrities admit to wearing them - the demand for the product is surging again.
Now there are two types of hair extensions - one is made from artificial fibres while the other is made from real human hair. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Artificial hair is made from a variety of synthetic fibres, most commonly kanekalon, toyokalon, and polyester.
Kanekalon got its name from the Japanese company that manufactures it: Kaneka. It comes in more than 100 colours, is flame retardant, and can be curled easily using a regular curling iron, using very low heat. It is very light and durable, and looks very natural.
The main disadvantage of kanekalon is that it tangles easily and is more expensive than toyokalon.
Toyokalon also got its name from its Japanese manufacturer, Toyo Chemical. Like kanekalon, toyokalon is also heat resistant. In addition, it has a natural curl at the end.
Toyokalon is a soft material that is easy to style, but it looks less natural than other types of extensions. Because of this, it is less often used for everyday wear and is more often utilized for costumes.
Polyester is one of the most inexpensive materials used for artificial extensions. However, unlike other artificial hair fibres, which are silky in texture, polyester has a plastic-y feel.
Unlike artificial Honey Blonde Hair Extensions fibres, which are generally coloured and styled in the factory, hair extensions made from real hair are very versatile: it can be washed, blow-dried, dyed, and curled without much damage to the strands.
Of course, as you have probably guessed by now, the biggest disadvantage of extensions made from real hair fibres is their price. Depending on the length, the cost is 3 to 4 times higher than synthetic fibres, so if you're not planning to use your hair extensions for a long time, choosing real hair fibres would be impractical.
Hair extensions are used for a variety of reasons. Younger women use them to emulate their favorite celebrities, or to create a long style, without having to wait weeks for hair to grow. While older women with thinning hair use it to look better for special occasions. You can easily get hair extensions in London from your favorite salon. Thanks to Victoria Beckham, who was one of the first UK celebrities to wear the fashion trend, hair extensions have become a popular and well-accepted fashion accessory that is available to anyone who wants them today.

Hair Extensions Turn up the Volume
Is fine, limp, or thinning hair getting you down? Are you frustrated with thickening shampoos that don't work, and teasing your hair for a fuller look? It sounds like it's about time to turn up the volume on those lethargic tresses with perfectly blended, hand crafted human hair extensions!
Hair extensions are a super way to instantaneously boost volume, add length or both. Not everyone is born follicly "gifted"; luckily, the hair and beauty industry have advanced in such a way that our locks don't have to settle for the thin side of life. There are long-term and temporary solutions to fill out your scalp with a voluminous head of hair, specifically customized to work with your hair type, colour, and texture.
For short-term solutions, cheap human hair extensions can be used for 1-6 weeks and are a great way to try out a different lookwithout committing to long-term attachment. Unfortunately, many salons today use cheaply processed grades of human hair that are thick, coarse, and tangle easily which results in uncomfortable, improperly blended, and short-lived hair extensions.
One high-end salon, with locations in Manchester and London, offers a unique selection of bespoke clip-ins that were developed by the salon's owner in an effort to fill the quality gap left by lesser grades of hair pieces, and less reputable retailers in the hair extensions market. This salon released two types of exclusive clip-in extensions, "Seamless" Clip-Ins and "Micro Ring" wefts, using the most pristine selections of single and double drawn virgin hair ethically sourced from Russia and Europe.
"Seamless" Clip-In Extensions
Seamless clip-in extensions appear to be invisible and are attached to the scalp using a micro-thin bonding tape. They are a snap to put in, ultra comfortable, and give your extensions a very natural look and feel.
The beauty of it is ? you can treat these 20 Human Hair Weft
just like your own hair. You can wash, blow dry, straighten, curl, or whatever because the custom weft is literally an extension of your own hair ? especially if your extensions contain the optimum blend of colours and textures, no one will ever guess your secret thickening agent!
"Micro Ring" Wefts
If heats, glues, and chemicals aren't your thing, you can opt for the alternative micro ring wefts. Instead of bonding tape, miniscule copper rings are used to securely attach the wefts of hair into your own hairline.
These extra lightweight rings are referred to as "micro ringlets",by this Manchester salon, because they are even smaller and lighter than the standard micro ring technique. In addition, micro ringlets can be placed in areas of the hairline that were previously unreachable due to heavier, less precise attachment methods.
What makes both of these types of hair extensions so topnotch is the bespoke element involved with creating the wefts of human hair. There are scrupulous calculations involved to define the exact measurements of the custom weft, along with the stupendous cuticle quality associated with virgin hair, in general. One requirement of virgin hair is that all cuticles must be intact, and properly aligned.
No matter which method you choose, or what quality of real human hair extensions you decide to purchase -- you are going to see thick, volume-loving results with that mane of yours. So, turn it up!
